Children's Education
First United Methodist Church places a high priority on the religious education of our children and youth. We have a strong Sunday School and care deeply for the children of this congregation and this community. Join us in Sunday School.
Children's Sunday School: Power Express
Children, Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, gather at 9:30 am. each Sunday morning in Room 302 for Power Express Sunday School. The children are exploring Christian friendship through the use of puppets. We will build a puppet stage and make our own puppets ... as we learn what the Old Testament wisdom found in Proverbs and what Jesus might have to say about being friends.
Nursery
Our nursery is located in Room 203 of the Education Building. It is fully equipped with a child-size restroom, changing tables, and new cribs. The nursery is only steps away from the sanctuary, providing quick, easy access by parents who wish to worship but are concerned about leaving their precious little one. Aimee Palmer serves as the adult nursery supervisor/attendant. Often a teenager will also help during Sunday School and worship.
Three and Four Year Old Class
Children who are three, four, and five years old - but not yet in Kindergarten - will (beginning September 4) have Sunday School in a self-contained classroom in Room 201 with Nancy Estes, Kit Pasternak, and Lori Wesselowski.
