Labels for United Methodist Youthville in Newton
(posted 8/20/07)
They have changed the part they want sent in. They now want just the UPC (bar code) along with the Campbell kid with the crayon cut from the back. Please place the labels in the basket in the lobby opposite the volunteer desk. Just cut that part or leave them and I will trim them. I am now sending them to Youthville in Newton. Continue to save the "Box Top for Education", which has the crayon on it, too. Last year I sent them to the Red Bird Mission in Kentucky and they reported 1,668,620 labels had been redeemed to buy a mini van, office and sports equipment, teaching tools, etc. Wow! What the UMC folks can do!

Coupons for the Military
Members of the congregation save coupons and donate them to those serving in the military bases overseas. They can redeem the coupons for savings at the PX on base.
In 2005, 39 three-pound boxes of coupons were sent to the following five military bases: Aviano, Italy; Aanau, Heidelberg, and Ramstein in Germany; and Yongsan, South Korea. Several letters have been received telling how much the coupons were appreciated. Please continue to bring coupons to the church.
