LOGOS Curriculum
The LOGOS curriculum provides course material for 30 sessions per year. The following courses are designed to give youth and children who progress through all eight courses a basic foundation of Old and New Testament, Bible skills, worship, and doctrine. This curriculum, supported and enriched by other studied in Church School, Vacation Church School, and other learning situations, will lead children to not only learn the content of much of the Bible, but will help them learn to interpret what they read and hear, apply the scriptures to their personal lives, and become disciples of Jesus Christ, acting out their discipleship in their personal relationships, church and community.
As we look at these course we see that we progress from:
learning that Jesus teaches us how to live,
to discovering God in the Old Testament,
to learning to worship,
to interpretation of scripture,
to the acknowledgment of the place of Jesus in our daily life
to finding out about the book we call the Bible - how it came to be and how to study it.
to articulating what we believe
Through all these courses there is an emphasis on:
application of scripture to every day life,
knowing that we are children of God,
discovering our relationship and friendship with Jesus Christ,
developing our spirituality,
and a challenge to become a disciple of Jesus Christ.
