This is the official online ministry of The United Methodist Church. Open minds, open hearts, open doors. Check out the newly modified web design. Fantastic!

The office of the Parsons District United Methodist Church Council on Ministries is located at 500 Leawood, Parsons, KS 67357. Its mission is to enable each church and pastor within the Parsons District to reach all people within their communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ in new and creative ways to enhance lines of communications within and between all levels of the church.

The Kansas East Conference  highlight is the Bishop's page - always something thought-provoking here from Bishop Scott J. Jones. Read all the news of Kansas East Conference.

The primary purpose of the General Board of Discipleship shall be to assist annual conferences, districts, and local churches of all membership sizes in their efforts to win persons to Jesus Christ as his disciples and to help these persons to grow in their understanding of God that they may respond in faith and love, to the end that they may know who they are and what their human situation means, increasingly identifying themselves as children of God and members of the Christian community, to live in the Spirit of God in every relationship, to fulfill their common discipleship in the world, and to abide in the Christian hope. The mission of the General Board of Discipleship is to provide quality resources and services to help church leaders build systems that enable every congregation to fulfill its primary task of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Camp Chippewa  is a United Methodist Camp and Retreat Center whose mission is to provide an atmosphere in a simple outdoor setting where individuals can experience the presence of God in nature; form a relationship with Jesus Christ and others; nurture one's journey as a disciple of our Lord and Savior; experience spiritual and personal growth and renewal; and serve non-profit groups for the betterment of God's world.

The website of Cokesbury
provides resources for the Christian journey. Cokesbury is the retail division of The United Methodist Publishing House. The United Methodist Publishing House, founded in 1789, is a publisher and distributor to The United Methodist Church and the greater Christian community. At Cokesbury, their Mission is to provide quality resources and services that help people know God through Jesus Christ, love God, and choose to serve God and neighbor. Cokesbury consists of a chain of retail outlets, a toll-free call center, numerous catalogs, a web store, and an outside events group.

The Upper Room Ministries  is the home of The Upper Room Daily Devotional, many Christian publications, and the source for such programs as The Walk to Emmaus. A wealth of Christian inspiration is found here. When The Upper Room started its website ministry in the spring of 1996, the vision was to offer a place on the internet where visitors could find resources that help them grow in their relationship with God. 70,000 daily users prove the vision has become a reality.

The mission of the  Kansas Area Resource Center is to help churches of the United Methodist Conferences to make disciples of Jesus Christ by providing multimedia resources and services. This is an exellent resource for Sunday School teachers, group leaders, or anyone who desires to deepen their Christian walk. Notify Chris in the church office (331-3840) if you find appropriate materials you wish to order.

On the website for Equipped For Every Good Work - Building an Equipped-Based Church , the author, Dan R. Dick - Research Manager - New Solutions Team on the General Board of Discipleship of The United Methodist Church, describes the program he used to guide our church through the development of the Mission Design. This resource summarizes his outstanding leadership in helping churches and church leaders better understand their gifts and graces for Christian service in the world.
