Pastors
1871 - the present
As you can see several pastors have served the church since Rev. Rice rode into Independence in 1869. We remember all the pastors who came to town with a strong belief in God and each a unique talent for preaching the message of Jesus Christ.
Chuch records indicate only one member of the church has entered the ministry in the history of the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Susan K. Daniel was ordained an elder in June of 1988.
