Youth Mission Statement
"With our eyes on the future, we are searching to know Christ's purpose for us, as individuals and youth of First United Methodist Church of Independence. We are building Christ-centered lives through prayer, Bible study, missions, recreational activities, and fellowship. Through our witness and faith, we are striving to love others as God loves us."
Youth Group
Mid and Senior High Youth meet for fellowship and learning in their youth rooms. Both groups meet Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m., for an opportunity to learn about God in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We try to participate in local community service projects as we can and larger fellowship groups by attending events such as Young Christians Weekend as well as our District and Conference events.

Youth Education - Sunday School - 9:30 am
Mid High is full of food, fun, and follies. Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders meet with Sandy Webster in Room 205.
Senior High The Senior High Class is an informal gathering of youth in grades nine through twelve, meeting with Dean Hayse and Debbie Johnson in Room 306.
