The music at First United Methodist Church includes congregational singing of a variety of hymns, the wonderful music of the Chancel Choir and the Jubilation Ringers Bell Choir and the gifts of soloists and ensembles. The purpose of our singing is to move into the presence of God. Rev. Jack and Rev. Marilyn Gregory attempt, in liturgy and sermon, to connect the wisdom of Jesus Christ, revealed in the scriptures, to today's realities.
We gather on Sunday morning in order to know God. And we leave worship committing ourselves to love people. We invite you to join us.
Chancel Choir sings every Sunday, September - June, at the 10:45 service. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the choir loft. Contact Dana Aitken 331-4168. If you like to sing, please consider joining with us. Come and help us "make a joyful noise unto the Lord."
Handbell Choir, the Jubilation Ringers, plays every 4-6 weeks in worship. They rehearse every Sunday at 6 p.m. Contact Mary Jo Wallis 331-2129. If you enjoy ringing bells, you are invited to join with us.
